I have been evaluating Trello and MeisterTask in the past two weeks and tried to choose one to manage my tasks. So this is what I learnt.

One Critical Feature

After the trial, I found that I desperately need the feature of “mark completed” from MeisterTask while keeping my due date information.

In Trello, I cannot mark the task as completed. It always reminds me with a due date alert in its interface even I have put those completed tasks under the “completed” column.

I can only remove the alert by removing my due date. My due date information will be gone.

Another Nice Feature

Time tracking is another nice feature from MeisterTask. I can record how much time I have spent on a certain task. This is very useful when I want to know my time spent and productivity.

Final Thought

I see the good in Trello, but I just really need the “mark completed” feature. And now I am happily using MeisterTask as my task management tool. Thanks for reading.
